李苦禪（1899- 1983），男，出身貧寒。現(xiàn)代書畫家、美術(shù)教育家。原名李英杰，改名英，字勵(lì)公。山東高唐人。1923年拜齊白石為師。曾任杭州藝專教授，中央美術(shù)學(xué)院教授，中國(guó)美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)理事，中國(guó)畫研究院院務(wù)委員。擅畫花鳥和鷹，晚年常作巨幅通屏，代表作品：《盛荷》《群鷹圖》《松鷹圖》《蘭竹》《晴雪圖》《水禽圖》。1978年出版《李苦禪畫輯》。
中國(guó)近代大寫意花鳥畫宗師、美術(shù)教育家李苦禪(1899—1983)原名李英杰、李英，字超三、勵(lì)公。生于山東省高唐縣貧苦農(nóng)家，自幼受到家鄉(xiāng)傳統(tǒng)文化之熏陶，走上了藝術(shù)征途。[1]

In his later years, he often painted large screens, representing works such as Sheng He, Qunying Tu, Song Yingtu, Lan Zhu, Qing Xue Tu and Waterfowl Tu. In 1978, Li Kuchan Painting Series was published.
Li Kuchan (1899-1983), a master of freehand brushwork in flower and bird painting and an educator of fine arts in modern China, was originally named Li Yingjie and Li Ying, with the words "Chao San" and "Li Gong". Born in a poor peasant family in Gaotang County, Shandong Province, he was nurtured by his hometown's traditional culture and embarked on an artistic journey.
李苦禪繼承了中國(guó)畫的傳統(tǒng)，吸取石濤、八大山人、揚(yáng)州畫派、吳昌碩、齊白石等人的技法，在花鳥大寫意繪畫方面有特色。有豪放，氣勢(shì)磅礴，形象鮮明的風(fēng)格，樹立了大寫意花鳥畫的新風(fēng)范。李苦禪用自己審美觀點(diǎn)和表現(xiàn)手法，創(chuàng)造出許多藝術(shù)形象。李苦禪畫花鳥，有一定寫實(shí)的成分，不是對(duì)自然物象客觀的描摹，是凝練后創(chuàng)造。隨意中蘊(yùn)含著樸拙之氣，自然含蓄中蘊(yùn)含陽剛之氣。李苦禪的畫幅越大越能自由揮灑。李苦禪晚年的作品達(dá)到了“筆簡(jiǎn)意繁”的藝術(shù)境界。
