此錢幣正面中央為孫中山側面肖像，邊緣內上鐫中文隸書體“中華民國”四字，下鐫“開國紀念幣”五字，左右長枝花飾。背面中央為中文隸書體“壹圓”及嘉禾，邊緣英文“中華民國”、壹圓”。左右分列六角星，直線邊齒，纖長細膩。此幣包漿老道，歷史留下的痕跡清晰可見，其無論文字和紋飾，皆十分精到，凸凹鮮明，文字筆劃和紋飾線條圓滾，顯示模具沖壓著力深打，致其品相精美無比，其工藝水準也是至今之偽所不能矣。整幣鑄造精良，熟舊自然，色澤明亮，設計別致，邊齒過關，是錢幣中的精品。
