吳冠中，別名荼，1919年，生于江蘇宜興農(nóng)村。1942年，畢業(yè)于杭州國立藝術(shù)專科學(xué)校，曾任教于國立重慶大學(xué)建筑系。1946年，考取全國公費(fèi)留學(xué)繪畫第一名。1947年，就讀于巴黎國立高等美術(shù)學(xué)校。1950年，留學(xué)歸國，任教于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院。1953年，任清華大學(xué)建筑系副教授。1956年，任教于北京藝術(shù)學(xué)院。1964年，任教于中央工藝美術(shù)學(xué)院。
當(dāng)代著名畫家、油畫家、美術(shù)教育家。油畫代表作有《長江三峽》、《北國風(fēng)光》、《小鳥天堂》、《黃山松》、《魯迅的故鄉(xiāng)》等。個(gè)人文集有《吳冠中談藝集》《吳冠中散文選》《美丑緣》等十余種 。
吳冠中巨幅油畫作品《周莊》2016年4月4日晚在保利香港2016年春拍“中國及亞洲現(xiàn)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)”專場上,經(jīng)過激烈競逐,最終以2.36億港元高價(jià)成交,不僅創(chuàng)造吳冠中本人作品的拍賣紀(jì)錄,同時(shí)也刷新中國現(xiàn)當(dāng)代油畫世界拍賣紀(jì)錄。
此作畫于1975年前作，尺寸為68cm*195cm，畫面以黑、白、灰、紅三種顏色為主，在點(diǎn)、線、面的形式元素組成中，若隱若現(xiàn)，意境很高，是藝術(shù)市場上所見最大尺幅的吳冠中佳構(gòu)。
此幅吳冠中老師的畫為1975年前著作，藏家由榮寶齋寄售，難得一見，實(shí)屬珍品，可遇不可求，此作品構(gòu)圖嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，布局規(guī)整，一氣呵成，值得收藏。
在吳冠中先生眼里，藝術(shù)市場受到人際關(guān)系、利益包裝、經(jīng)濟(jì)沉浮等 人們無法回避的因素影響。莊子曾謂“凡外重者內(nèi)拙”。吳冠中則如是說：藝術(shù)是自然形成的，時(shí)代一定會(huì)有真誠的挽留和無情的淘汰。藝術(shù)市場是一面鏡子。但上帝只會(huì)關(guān)照一心去創(chuàng)作的畫家，而不是光照鏡子的人。智者所見略同。
Wu Guanzhong, alias Tea, was born in rural Yixing, Jiangsu Province in 1919. In 1942, he graduated from Hangzhou National College of Art and taught in the Department of Architecture, National Chongqing University. In 1946, he won the first prize in public-funded overseas painting in China. In 1947, he attended the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. In 1950, he returned from abroad and taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1953, he was an associate professor in the Department of Architecture, Tsinghua University. In 1956, he taught at Beijing Academy of Art. In 1964, he taught at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts.
Famous contemporary painters, oil painters, art educators.
