此藏品霽藍(lán)釉又稱“積藍(lán)釉”、“祭藍(lán)釉”、“霽青釉”。明、清藍(lán)釉習(xí)稱“霽藍(lán)”，一種高溫石灰堿釉。其生坯施釉，1280～1300℃高溫下一次燒成。

色澤深沉，釉面不流不裂，色調(diào)濃淡均勻，呈色較穩(wěn)定，器形精致鼓腹，外藍(lán)內(nèi)白，看上去很清秀淡雅，口檐內(nèi)卷底部留釉，底部下陷施釉肥厚，器身內(nèi)補(bǔ)，棕眼露胎，底足有螺旋狀的修胎痕，顏色溫潤無賊光，外壁由器肩開始逐漸向底部收攏，線條流暢。其釉色藍(lán)如深海，釉面勻凈，呈色穩(wěn)定，后人稱其為“霽青”，又因其呈色穩(wěn)定明亮如寶石，推為宣德顏色釉瓷器的三大“上品”，具有非常高的收藏價(jià)值。

成化、弘治、正德時(shí)期，霽藍(lán)釉瓷器傳世不多，尤其是成化時(shí)期，至今未見一件完整器，但景德鎮(zhèn)御廠出土過書有成化款的藍(lán)釉碎片，說明其生產(chǎn)從未間斷。

嘉靖藍(lán)釉瓷器較為盛行，一是造型品種豐富多彩，二是釉色品種有新發(fā)展。造型除傳統(tǒng)的宮廷祭器、陳設(shè)瓷外，日用器皿中也常見藍(lán)釉產(chǎn)品。釉色除霽藍(lán)外，又新創(chuàng)一種“回青”釉。嘉靖霽藍(lán)釉色藍(lán)中微泛紫色，有些釉面開細(xì)小紋片，個(gè)別的有棕色斑點(diǎn)，圈足處施一層醬色釉。嘉靖回青釉多刻暗款，均為六字楷書款，造型有罐、洗、碗、盤、杯、渣斗、香鏟等。有些尚淺刻龍鳳、云龍及纏枝花紋。這些器物主要藏于臺(tái)北和北京的故宮博物院中，均是宮中舊藏。
