The Xuande furnace of the Ming Dynasty, a incense burner created during the reign of Xuande of the Ming Dynasty, is usually used to burn incense in tombs, temples and power houses, worship Buddha and ancestors. During the 300 years of the Ming Dynasty, countless artifacts were produced, which can be called excellent works. Xuande furnace, as one of them, can be said to have learned nothing from the past but to be incapable of succeeding. It is truly an exquisite antique between heaven and earth. It is the crystallization of the wisdom and art of ancient Chinese craftsmen. Three years after Emperor Xuande of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Zhanji took part in the design and supervision of copper censers on a whim. It was the first time in Chinese history that a bronze vessel was cast using wind mill copper. On the bottom of the vessel was inscribed the inscription "Emperor Xuande of the Ming Dynasty" or "Xuanlu".
It is precisely because Xuande furnace has fine workmanship, beautiful shape, expensive consumables and is very rare. It has been very popular since casting. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, many rich people and collectors had already bought Xuande furnace with large sums of money. In the late Ming Dynasty, the price of Xuande furnace was higher. If a product was in good condition, it would cost tens of thousands of taels of silver. Since then, the price of Xuande furnace has remained high, and there are numerous counterfeiters and counterfeiters due to the attractive huge profits. Falsification of Xuande furnace has existed for quite a long time. The earliest forger was Wu Bangzuo, one of the supervisors of Xuande furnace. After closing the Xuande furnace, he collected the craftsmen who participated in the casting and used the remaining raw materials to imitate the Xuande furnace. To be fair, these furnaces are equally fine in workmanship, but due to insufficient raw materials, the shapes of the furnaces are changeable.
