The summer palace, the imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty in China, formerly known as Qingyi Garden, is located in the western suburb of Beijing, 15km away from the city, covering an area of 290 hectares, adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan Garden. It is a large-scale landscape garden built on the basis of Kunming Lake and Wanshou mountain, based on the West Lake of Hangzhou, and drawing on the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. It is also the most complete royal palace imperial garden, known as the "Royal Garden Museum", and also a national key tourist attraction.
This coin was issued to commemorate the cost of Emperor Guangxu's reconstruction of the summer palace in 1888, which was burnt down by the British and French allied forces in the 10th year of Xianfeng (1860). It is also hoped that after the reconstruction of the park, it will continue smoothly and peacefully, but it is a pity that the Allied forces of the eight countries destroyed it once again. It was the first time that metal aluminum was used to cast coins at that time. In the late Qing Dynasty, the technology of electrolytic aluminum had not been invented, so the material of aluminum was more valuable than gold. Napoleon's medal was also made of aluminum, which was much more valuable than gold. This coin adopts the traditional external and internal coin system. It has a thick outline, a very regular overall system, a flat ground seal, and a standard dressing. Qian Wen is deep and upright, with beautiful words and clear patterns. The coating is mellow and smooth, and the shell is thick and natural. At the same time, it also reflects the authority of the imperial power system in the field of coinage in the Qing Dynasty, and its designers and manufacturers have carried out excellent designs regardless of local conditions. Its artistic level and anti-counterfeiting ability have not been surpassed so far.

The imperial garden of Qing Dynasty in China, formerly known as Qingyi Garden, is located in the western suburb of Beijing, 15km away from the city, covering an area of 290 hectares, adjacent to Yuanmingyuan. It is a large-scale landscape garden built on the basis of Kunming Lake and Wanshou mountain, based on the West Lake of Hangzhou, and drawing on the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens.
In the past domestic and foreign auctions, Meide and Tongbao had only three auctions, which is enough to see the rarity of coins. It is recognized by the domestic and foreign collectors as a great treasure of modern Chinese money, which can be called a unique product with great collection and investment value.
