新版鎳幣的醞釀1935年11月，國民黨政府宣佈實(shí)行法幣政策，禁止銀元在市面流通。隨后發(fā)行可在市場(chǎng)上流通的21種版別的鎳幣；但其實(shí)早在1935年初，民國政府已經(jīng)委派美國費(fèi)城造幣廠鑄造伍分，拾分，廿分的鎳幣每種11枚，送交國民政府呈遞樣品。國民政府時(shí)期制幣事宜多與美國方面往來，如中央造幣廠之籌建，開工后之管理等皆得力于美方。「船洋」模具自始至終，全數(shù)由費(fèi)城造幣廠供應(yīng)。民國二十四年鎳幣試製亦由該廠為之，民國二十五年起由上海中央造幣廠生產(chǎn)。1935年末，上海中央造幣廠正式鑄造鎳幣。
1914年2月8日，國民政府公佈發(fā)行1種5分鎳幣。民國24年時(shí)又發(fā)行了5分，10分，20分3種。當(dāng)時(shí)省市流通使用鎳幣較少，直到1936年時(shí)，中央銀行才運(yùn)來第一批鎳幣一萬元，因數(shù)量不多，不夠分配，后面運(yùn)到的第二批鎳幣有5萬元，幣值有5分，10分，20分3種，其中5分幣有2萬元10分幣和20分幣各1.5萬元。中央銀行，錢莊掛牌代換鎳幣，因10分鎳幣發(fā)行量跟存世量較少，因此，此件藏品具有很高的收藏價(jià)值。
中華民國三十年孫小頭鎳幣，品相精美，紋飾優(yōu)雅，包漿入骨，鏽色自然，縱使歷經(jīng)無窮歲月的洗禮，仍可保存此態(tài)，實(shí)屬不易，錢幣正面中央為孫中山側(cè)面肖像，邊緣內(nèi)上鐫中文書“中華民國三十年”；紋飾精美，刻畫細(xì)致，五官深邃，形神俱備，連毛髮、衣紋等細(xì)小的東西都清晰可見，工藝極其精湛。錢幣背面中央為布幣圖案，在古幣兩側(cè)鐫幣值“十分”，字體端莊清秀，規(guī)整圓潤，遒勁有力，挺拔俊秀，極具書法藝術(shù)價(jià)值。錢幣正反面線圈外依廓緣鐫回紋，設(shè)計(jì)精美，造型別致，觀之，美輪美奐，十分獨(dú)特，實(shí)乃一枚可遇不可求的錢幣收藏精品，身價(jià)不凡，價(jià)值不菲，值得珍藏！
