嘉慶通寶中國古代錢幣之一，鑄于清仁宗嘉慶年間(1796-1820年)。錢徑2.2-2.6厘米，重2-4克。錢面文字"嘉慶通寶"以楷書書寫，從上而下而右而左直讀。錢背滿文左"寶"，右為滿文鑄造錢局名，如泉、源、蘇、河、廣等。

清代錢幣特點:一皇帝只用一種年號錢，雖鑄量大而形制較簡單;除個別例外，所有年號錢均稱通寶，錢文:皆為工整楷書，讀法均對讀，除個別例外。

嘉慶通寶小平錢其直徑23毫米，重4克。錢體呈暗褐色包漿，銹色得體、自然，質地為精質黃銅生坑品。嘉慶通寶十分稀貴，制作工藝相當精致，極為平整，字口十分清晰。

當前，隨著清錢收藏的持續走熱，清代各個年號的錢幣價格都有所上漲。再加上乾隆、嘉慶、道光三錢有“錢到家”的美好寓意，收藏群體越來越多，而市場上能夠遇到的美品卻越來越少，有非常大的增加空間。仍尤其是此兩枚乾隆通寶、嘉慶通寶，同為五帝錢之一，存世數量稀疏，其保藏和增值空間不可限量。
