光緒二十七年七月，江南鑄造銀元制錢總局西廠代鑄銅元。光緒二十九年(1903)，又在蘇州原裕蘇錢局建造新廠，次年三月廠竣開鑄。幣值分二十文、十文、五文、二文四等。十文銅元，紅銅質(zhì)，二十文銅元有紅銅、黃銅兩種，五文銅元，黃銅質(zhì)，另有白銅樣版及合背錯(cuò)版存世。
In July of the 27th year of Guangxu's reign, the West Factory of Jiangnan General Administration of Silver and Money Casting replaced copper. In 1903, in the 29th year of Guangxu's reign, a new factory was built in Suzhou's former Yusuqian Bureau. The factory was completed in March of the following year. Currency values are divided into 20, 10, 5, 2, 4, etc. Ten copper coins, red copper, twenty copper coins are red copper and brass, five copper coins, yellow copper, and white copper sample and mixed back typography exist in the world.
江南省設(shè)于清朝順治二年(1645年)，省府位于江寧(今南京)。清代的江南省前身是明朝的南直隸江南省，范圍大致相當(dāng)于今天的江蘇省、上海市和安徽省?？滴趿?1667年)清廷撤江南省，分設(shè)江蘇和安徽兩個(gè)省。南京造幣廠將其鑄造的銀幣標(biāo)明“江南省造”，是因?yàn)楫?dāng)時(shí)蘇州已經(jīng)有一個(gè)專鑄機(jī)制銅元的造幣廠，其鑄造的銅元均標(biāo)明“江蘇省造”。為避免混淆，南京造幣廠將其鑄造的銀幣標(biāo)明“江南省造”。系我國(guó)貨幣史上唯一有名無(wú)實(shí)的省份銀幣。
Jiangnan province was established in 1645, the second year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, and the provincial capital was located in Jiangning (now Nanjing). The predecessor of jiangnan province in Qing Dynasty was jiangnan province of Nanzhili Province in Ming Dynasty, which was roughly equivalent to Jiangsu Province, Shanghai City and Anhui Province today. In the sixth year of Kangxi's reign (1667), the Qing government withdrew from jiangnan province and divided it into Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. The Nanjing Mint marked its silver coins as "Made in jiangnan province" because there was already a minting factory in Suzhou that specialized in making machine-made copper coins. All the copper coins were marked as "Made in Jiangsu Province". To avoid confusion, the Nanjing Mint marked its silver coins as "Made in jiangnan province". It is the only province silver coin with no real name in our country's monetary history.

背面上緣“KIANG-SOO”，下緣“TEN CASH”，兩側(cè)各有一個(gè)實(shí)心五瓣花，中間一條長(zhǎng)七尾飛龍，即從上往下數(shù)第三根尾毛和右邊的云朵相連，第四根龍尾毛比第三根更長(zhǎng)。珠圈由109個(gè)小點(diǎn)組成，外齒邊在一公分的弦相對(duì)的弧邊上有16條齒線。此枚錢幣最特別之處在于——背面的龍紋圖案由于機(jī)壓錯(cuò)誤，整體順時(shí)針旋轉(zhuǎn)了40°，十分罕見珍貴！
The upper edge of the back "KIANG-SOO" and the lower edge "TEN CASH" have a solid five-petal flower on each side and a long seven-tailed dragon in the middle, i.e. the third tail hair from top to bottom is connected with the clouds on the right, and the fourth tail hair is longer than the third. The bead ring consists of 109 small points, and the outer tooth edge has 16 tooth lines on the arc edge opposite to the chord of one centimeter. The most special thing about this coin is that the dragon pattern on the back of the coin has been rotated clockwise by 40 due to a mechanical error. It is very rare and precious!
