此枚咸豐重寶當五十錢幣，觀鑄識體。可見本品鑄體精整，鑄相方正圓矩，坦平地章，字廓深竣挺拔，穿輪干凈整潔。中等緣穿廓粗細，徑較一般當五十錢更大，鑄體較為厚重。其面背錢文布局規(guī)矩協(xié)調(diào)，橫直豎立，筆畫清晰間隔有距卻無粘連。穿口略有斜拔，清大錢鑄相特征明顯。很明顯，此鑄相可謂優(yōu)等，品質(zhì)十分鮮明，錢文楷書書體，書意端莊雋美，筆畫力道十足，筆鋒鮮明犀利，滿文書正筆端，值得特別注意的，是其“寳”字書意獨特，“爾寳”，其字形相對其它而言更為矮壯寬闊，背“五十”字形相對瘦長，筆畫壯實規(guī)矩，堪稱精品。
